Manchester United and boss Jose Mourinho are big admirers of 20-year old Brazilian winger, Malcom, and are ready to make a January move for the Bordeaux star.
It was reported earlier that the Old Trafford club were considering a move for the youngster who Mourinho has been monitoring for a period of time. The Portuguese boss is said to view the winger as the best young prospect in Europe at the moment and has sanctioned a move.
Bordeaux are reportedly asking for about ₤55 million for the player with the club’s president insisting the 20-year old will not be allowed to leave in the coming transfer window.
Arsenal are also said to be interested in the Brazilian but have yet to make a move.
Man United, however, are looking to make a ₤40 million move for the player and are willing to loan him back to the French side for the rest of the season.
Manchester United are in the market for a winger after missing out on top target Ivan Perisic in the summer window and the manager has urged Executive vice-president Ed Woodward to make a move for Malcom happen.
The 20-time English champions are currently second in the Premier League, 13 points behind Manchester City.
