West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans reportedly favours a return to Manchester United despite interests from Manchester City and Arsenal.
Both City and Arsenal failed with bids to sign the former Manchester United man in the summer and are expected to return with bids in the winter transfer window.
The Northern Ireland international has 18 months left in this current deal at the Hawthorns but up to date has shown no signs he is willingly penning a new deal with the club.
A deal regarding a move away seems to be possible in the January transfer window as West Brom have put a ₤30 million fee on the defender.
Man United boss Jose Mourinho has slammed the club’s decision to sell Evans, who was regarded as unwanted by then manager Louis Van Gaal and sold in the summer of 2015 and is reportedly keen on a deal to bring the 29-year old back to the club.
The defender on his part is in favour of a return to Old Trafford amidst interest from fellow Premier League side Arsenal, Leicester City and Manchester City. It is believed these teams have not given up hope of signing the player and are set to return for offers when the January window opens.
Manchester City though, are also looking at the possibility of signing Southampton defender, Virgil Van Dijk who appears to be their number 1 target.
