The future of Brazilian David Luiz seems to be pointing away from Stamford Bridge with every passing day.
Although manager Antonio Conte repeatedly admits the star defender is just sidelined with a knee injury, reports of a falling out between both men continue to linger in the press.
Reports now suggest that Conte is interested in a swap deal which would see Luiz go to AC Milan and long-term target Leonardo Bonucci move to Stamford Bridge. This comes after reports that The Blues are unhappy with Real Madrid’s attempts to sign Luiz.
It appears Chelsea had not quite decided on their next move regarding the Brazil international, but Madrid’s attempt to rush Chelsea’s decision has angered owner Roman Abramovich.
The Premier League champions are now trying to get one over on the Europeans Champions by pursuing one of the main target (Bonucci) and using David Luiz as a bargaining chip in the deal.
The AC Milan man has been a target for both clubs even before joining from Juventus and Conte is believed to be in contact with the Italian as regards his life in Milan.
Bonucci has not had the best of times in Milan since joining in the summer and now Conte and Chelsea are offering to bring him to London.
