Chelsea will face a very tough test against a resurgent Everton side at Goodison Park in Saturday’s early kickoff.
The Blues overcame Bournemouth in the league cup on Wednesday to book a semi-final clash with London rivals Arsenal.
There is no fresh injury report for the Stamford Bridge club ahead of this one, meaning David Luiz is still ruled out with a knee problem and Andreas Christensen is expected to continue in his stead. Alvaro Morata will serve his one match ban picked up for an accumulation of yellow cards. Marcos Alonso is set to return for the tie after serving a ban against Bournemouth.
Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen are set to return after they were rested in midweek, alongside Victor Moses and N’golo Kante.
Tiemoue Bakayoko made a substitute appearance in midweek so should be fresh to start at Everton. With Morata suspended for the game, Eden Hazard is set to lead the line at Goodison.
Predicted Formation 3-5-2
Defenders: Azpilicueta Christensen Cahill
Midfielder: Moses Fabregas Kante Bakayoko Alonso
Forward: Willian Hazard
Antonio Conte has a full squad to select from barring Morata who is suspended and he will be expecting his players to get all 3 points in this one. Chelsea currently sit third on the log, 3 points behind second-placed Man United, who are 11 points adrift of leaders Man City.
