Reports say Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is planning a British record ₤90 million bid for Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard.
Hazard has failed to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge even refusing a ₤300,000-a-week four year deal offered by the Premier League champions as he is believed to be seriously considering his future.
The 26-year old is a target for European Champions Real Madrid and has drawn praise from the galacticos boss Zinedine Zidane who is known to be a big admirer of the attacker. Reports in Spain suggest there is an unofficial agreement between club and player that will see the Belgian join Madrid in the summer.
In a twist to the story, Mourinho is planning a move that will take his former star man to Old Trafford, as he views Hazard has just what is needed in his Man United attack.
The former Lille man played under Mourinho during the Portuguese manager’s second coming at Stamford Bridge winning the league title in the 2014/2015 season.
Their relationship at the Bridge wasn’t always a good one, especially during Mourinho’s last few months at the club with Hazard being axed from the team. The Man United is confident, however, and believes he can get his target.
Manchester United are no strangers to huge transfer fees, as the ₤89 million and ₤75 million shelled out for Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku in the past two summer shows.
