Manchester United utility man Daley Blind might be struggling for game time at the club this season but is drawing interests from some of the top clubs in European football.
The former Ajax Amsterdam man is reportedly the subject of transfer interests from Barcelona and Inter Milan in the upcoming winter transfer window.
The 27-year old Netherlands international has fallen down the pecking order at Man United as he is currently viewed as Mourinho’s third choice at left-back, a position that is believed to be his preferred spot on the field.
Capable of playing in central defence and also in midfield, his versatility might not have improved his chances at man united this season, but that has not prevented potential suitors from stating their interests.
Barcelona on their part are seeking to the sign Blind as a replacement for Javier Mascherano who is on his way out of the Camp Nou. The Spanish giants are close to a deal to sign for Palmeiras’ centre back Yerry Mina but are still interested in the Man United man who was a target for the club after the 2014 world cup.
The Catalans will, however, face competitions from Italian giants Inter who at the moment are now fully stocked at centre back and would like to add Blind to bolster their squad.
With the long-term absence of Eric Bailly, it is unclear if boss Jose Mourinho will let the club part with the services of Daley Blind who is capable of covering at center-back.
