Chelsea are believed to have joined the pack of clubs trying to sign Bayer Leverkusen whiz kid Leon Bailey.
Bailey despite joining Leverkusen in January has seen his name linked with a winter move away due to his impressive performances this season which has seen him score 5 goals and provided 5 assists in 14 games.
Arsenal are also regarded to be pushing Chelsea for the signature of the Jamaican winger, who has been a long time target of Manchester United.
The English teams are in a race to sign the youngster who is valued at ₤15 million by the German side. The Gunners are facing a crisis in attack with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez seemingly on their way out of the club as their contracts run out and so the club might have the edge in terms of offering first team appearances to the young player.
Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen chief Rudi Voller has admitted that the club will consider offers for Bailey.
Voller says that Leverkusen cannot turn their back on a good bid for the player as the January window approaches.
“If there are (bids) and they are good offers then we have to consider them,” Voller said.
Bailey has a contract that runs until 2022 with Bayer Leverkusen.
