Man United are planning a move to sign Bordeaux winger Malcolm. Jose Mourinho had assigned scouts to monitor the progress of the Brazilian since last season and is now prepared to approach the French side concerning a move in the January transfer window.
The 20-year old who moved to Bordeaux in 2016 from Brazilian side Corinthians, has been having a very impressive season so far, with 7 goals scored in 16 appearances so far amongst those some very spectacular efforts.
United on their part, are in search of a winger and a fullback, and have identified Malcolm as a target.
It is believed that the Ligue 1 side are hesitant to listen to any offer for their young star but an opening bid of about ₤30 million could very much get united through the door.
Malcolm plays predominantly on the right which enables him to cut in on his favourite left foot. He is blessed with blistering pace and is capable of playing on the left as well as through the middle.
Manchester United have struggled for a consistent performer on the right flank so far this season with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford all taking turns. Malcolm might just be the player to lock down the said position but first, there is the small issue of convincing Bordeaux to let go of their priced jewel.
