Big blow for Man United as €80m valued target dismisses move talks

Manchester United have been dealt a blow in their chase of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Lazio midfielder has insisted that he is happy at Lazio and that he doesn’t care who comes to watch in play.

The Serbian international has attracted widespread interests since the moved to Lazio from Genk in 2015 with some very impressive performances for the Italian capital club. Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho had been reported to be an admirer of the 22-year old valued at €80 million.

The Old Trafford club has sent scouts to watch the player several times according to reports and are believed to weighing up a summer move.

Milinkovic-Savic has been in good form this season scoring 7 goals in the serie A this season including a brace in his side’s 3-3 draw away to Atalanta.

His form has drawn suitors including Italian champions Juventus and English league leaders Manchester City. This appears not to be playing on his mind as he has now stated his desire to remain at Lazio.

“I play for Lazio and I am happy here. These are two important goals, but I play for Lazio and I don’t care who comes to watch me,” Milinkovic-Savic was quoted to have said in a recent interview.

His agent, Matej Kezman has dismissed any reports of a move or offer being received for the player as he isn’t considering a move away from Lazio.
