Former Boss Linked with Blues Return

Former Chelsea Manager Carlo Ancelotti has been linked with a return to the club.
Reports say the Italian has been contacted by the club and is said to be their first choice to replace fellow Italian Antonio Conte.

Conte is expected to leave the club at the end of the season, after apparently being left frustrated by certain decisions made by the club’s hierarchy.

Conte was left dissatisfied with the club’s recruitment in the summer transfer window despite signing Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger, Alvaro Morata, Danny Drinkwater and Davide Zappacosta. He is believed to have wanted further additions and was surprised at some outgoings too.

Ancelotti had been linked with a return to Paris St. Germain after his sacking as Bayern Munich Manager but reports say he has no intention of returning to France.

Ancelotti did the league and cup double in the 2009/2010 season winning the Premier League and FA Cup trophies, he spent two seasons at Stamford Bridge.

He went on to win league titles with PSG and Bayern Munich as well as the Champions League with Real Madrid in 2014.

Ancelotti did, however, have a falling out with Chelsea’s Russian Billionaire owner Roman Abramovich and it left to be seen if he still fancies a return to Stamford Bridge.
