Chelsea and manager Antonio Conte are set to have a very busy January transfer window as he looks to bolster in squad particularly the attacking areas.
Conte is said to be unhappy with his striking options at the moment as he seems to trust only new signing Alvaro Morata and is looking to offload Belgian Michy Batshuayi.
New reports suggest Conte is looking into the possibility of bringing striker Daniel Sturridge back to Stamford Bridge.
Strurridge who left Chelsea back in 2013 for Liverpool due to lack of game time is currently a bit part player at Anfield. Liverpool has a wealth of attacking options which has seen Sturridge reduced to a substitute role at the club and reports say he may be open to a move back to Chelsea.
With the Blues still in contention for the Carabao cup, FA Cup and Champions league, Conte will be looking to get a new striker in the January Transfer window to ease the workload of main man Morata. Sturridge might just turn out to be the man for the job if Conte can guarantee him game time at Stamford Bridge.
Daniel Sturridge has been blighted by injuries in recent times but at 28 years old still has a lot to offer at the highest level.
