Manchester United have been urged to sign Juventus star Paulo Dybala so as to keep pace with rivals Manchester City.
The Argentinian has been heavily linked with a potential move to Old Trafford which could be worth as much as ₤155million and has recently said he doesn’t see his career ending in Turin.
Dybala has been consistent in front of goal this season for Juventus, scoring 12 goals in Serie A so far this season as well as 3 assists in just 12 appearances.
The player who is widely regarded as one of the brightest talents in the world of football at the moment, is seen as one who would make a huge difference to Jose Mourinho’s side if he signed for the club and this is according to former United and Chelsea midfielder Ray Wilkins.
“If United sign him, good grief City will have to watch out. He’s one of those skillful South American players that will light up the Premier League.” He said, “He’s a magical footballer, works hard on and off the pitch and would be a credit to the Premier League.”
Any deal for Dybala will most likely come in the summer as he continues to lead his team’s chase to defend the Scudetto as well as a good run in the Champions League.
Antonio Conte Provides Update On Romelu Lukaku
New Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte has provided an update on the pursuit of Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku during this summer.
While speaking ahead of the club friendly with Manchester United, reporters asked Conte about Lukaku.
According to him, Romelu Lukaku would be an important player for Inter Milan if the Nerazzurri can pull off a deal for him.
The Italian tactician went on to admit that it would be difficult for Inter Milan to sign the Belgian international.
Inter Milan have struggled to meet up with the financial demands required to sign Romelu Lukaku.
Manchester United are open to the idea of selling the player but they want to recoup the majority of the money spent on his transfer two years ago.
Lukaku joined Manchester United from fellow Premier League side Everton in the summer of 2017 after the two clubs agreed on a £75m deal for the former Everton, Stoke City and Chelsea striker.
He has scored 42 goals in two seasons at Manchester United including 15 goals from the last campaign.
Antonio Conte became the Inter Milan manager last month and his major request this summer is the signing of Romelu Lukaku ahead of the new season billed for next month.
What Zidane said about Paul Pogba
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane was almost evasive when asked about the pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
The French football legend was asked about Pogba in his latest interview with Spanish newspaper AS.
According to him, his answer has always been the same on the much publicized interest in Paul Pogba.
Zidane had previously revealed that he would like to have Paul Pogba in his team.
According to him in previous interviews, Paul Pogba is a world-class player and he would be a great addition to his team at the Estadio Santiago Bernebeu.
Paul Pogba stunned Manchester United fans earlier this year when he confessed that a move to Real Madrid would be a dream for him before an interview last month where he talked about seeking a new challenge.
For now, Manchester United are yet to receive an offer for him despite the intense transfer rumours linking him with a move to clubs like Serie A champions Juventus and Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Paul Pogba was the top scorer for Manchester United in the last campaign after he found the back of the net on 16 occasions including 13 goals in the Premier League for the Red Devils.
Defender Set For Arsenal Medical Next Week
Saint Etienne defender William Saliba will undergo a medical at Arsenal next week after the two teams agreed on a deal for the player.
According to trusted journalist Charles Watts, the Gunners have been able to fend off North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign William Saliba.
The 18-year-old is presently in the United States with Saint Etienne and he’s expected to return to Europe at the start of next week.
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur made similar offers for the young French centre back but the Gunners edged their rivals due to the preference of the player.
He will sign a five-year deal with Arsenal in the new week before returning to Saint Etienne on loan for one season.
William Saliba will spend the 2019/20 season at Saint Etienne before joining his new team in the summer of 2020.
He became a known quantity in French football earlier this year after breaking into the first team at Saint Etienne towards the second half of last season.
William Saliba made 16 appearances for Saint Etienne last season in the league alone.
He has represented France at all the youth levels but the young defender is yet to make an appearance for the French national team.
Why Sarri Plays Down Juventus Return For Paul Pogba
New Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri has downplayed the intense transfer rumours linking Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba with a move back to the club this summer.
In his latest interview as monitored by popular media portal Goal, Sarri was asked about Paul Pogba.
According to him, he does not have much information on where the Pogba pursuit is at the moment.
Maurizio Sarri said that he didn’t have much information about Paul Pogba and the reported return to Turin.
The Italian tactician returned to Italy this summer after one year in England.
Sarri was the Chelsea manager last season and he also led the Blues to the Europa League title in addition to third place in the Premier League table.
The Italian also led Chelsea to the Carabao Cup final which ended in a penalty shootout defeat to Premier League champions Manchester City.
For Paul Pogba, he spent four years as a Juventus player between 2012 and 2016.
He won four successive league titles during his time as a Juventus player.
The French World Cup winner joined Juventus on a free transfer from Premier League giants Manchester United in 2012 before he returned to the Theatre of Dreams in 2016 in a deal reported to be around £89m.
Club Supremo Confirms Arsenal Transfer
Saint Etienne president Eduardo Caiazzo has all but confirmed that young defender William Saliba will join Premier League giants Arsenal this summer.
In a chat with French news outlet Le Progres, the Saint Etienne supremo revealed that the player will spend the new season at the club.
Arsenal have agreed on a deal for the young French centre back and he’s expected to sign a five-year deal until the end of the 2023/24 season.
The player will then return to Saint Etienne on loan for the 2019/20 season.
William Saliba will return to Arsenal next summer after his loan spell at French Ligue 1 Saint Etienne.
The 18-year-old broke into the first team at Saint Etienne last season and he grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
The young defender played 16 times for Saint Etienne in the league last season as the club missed out on Champions League football to former French champions Lyon.
Saint Etienne finished the season in fourth spot thus missing out on a Champions League spot that only a top-three finish would guarantee.
Champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG), runners-up Lille and Lyon will represent France at next season’s Champions League.
William Saliba is yet to make his senior debut for the French national team.
Spurs To Offer Man Utd Target £200k p/w Contract
Champions League finalists Tottenham Hotspur have concluded plans to offer midfielder Christian Eriksen a new contract amidst the transfer rumours linking him with other clubs.
According to the Daily Mail, Spurs are ready to offer Christian Eriksen up to £200,000 in salary on a weekly basis which is more than the £80,000 weekly salary which he earns at the moment.
The Danish international star earns £4m on a yearly basis and it could more than double to £10m.
It was also revealed that the player was offered a contract extension of £160,000 on a weekly basis and it was turned down by the player.
His representatives have already informed senior Tottenham Hotspur officials that the player won’t be influenced by money with clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United interested in his services.
Christian Eriksen has one year left on his current deal with Spurs and the club has to make a decision on his situation.
Spurs have to sell the player this summer or risk losing him for free next summer in the event that he does not sign a new contract.
Christian Eriksen has been a key player for Tottenham for over five years and the club would like to retain him for the new season.
Man Utd In 3-Way Battle For Exciting Midfielder
Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly in a three-way battle to sign Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi this summer.
According to French media outlet Le Parisien, three clubs including Manchester United have contacted Italian Serie A champions Juventus about a possible move for French World Cup winner Matuidi.
Blaise Matuidi was an important player for France as they won the World Cup last summer.
He was a regular part of the starting XI for the French team under manager Didier Deschamps.
France won their second World Cup tournament in Russia last summer by beating fellow European nation Croatia 4-2 in their final clash.
Blaise Matuidi, 32, might struggle to retain his spot in the Juventus starting XI this season after the Italians recruited two more quality midfielders.
Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot have joined Juventus this summer.
Welsh international Ramsey has signed for the Old Lady on a free transfer after his contract with North London giants Arsenal ran out last month and the same applies to young French international star Rabiot who has also joined Juventus on a free transfer after his PSG contract expired.
Apart from Manchester United, former club PSG and Everton have also enquired about the availability of £20m-rated Blaise Matuidi this summer.
