Chelsea set to offer Fabregas new deal
Manchester United are eyeing a secret move for Chelsea midfielder, Cesc Fabregas, according to reports.
The 29-year-old has been an integral part of the Blues squad since the start of the new season, churning out decent displays alongside Tiemoue Bakayoko and N’golo Kante in the midfield area.
However, the Spaniard has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge due to his lack of chances last season as Conte preferred the partnership of Nemanja Matic and Kante, but the departure of the former to United last summer has helped Fabregas move up the pecking order at the Bridge.
Reports in The Times claim that Manchester United are plotting a move to sign Cesc Fabregas as Jose Mourinho plan on bringing more players to Old Trafford next summer.
The report also claims that Chelsea are also planning to tie Fabregas to a new deal in order to prevent the potential move.
During the last summer transfer window, there were reports that Fabregas wanted to leave Chelsea due to his reduced role, with suggestions that a couple of clubs in Europe made frantic efforts to sign the former Arsenal man.
Fabregas, who is in his last 18 months at Stamford Bridge is believed to be keen on fighting for his place with the Premier League Champions despite interest from big clubs.
