Elon Musk Said, Tesla's FSD price is rising to $12k

The price of the "full self-driving" (FSD) software will rise to $12,000 by  Tesla Company.

The CEO of Tesla company Elon Musk tweeted on Friday that the price of "full self-driving" (FSD) software has increased by $2000.

Moreover, he also mentioned that the price would take effect from January 17 for customers. But it was only for the customers in the US.

In addition, He added that the monthly subscription price of $199 for FSD would rise as the software get closer to its release.

The first price of the FSD was $8,000 when it was tested in Beta in October 2020.

But it was only for a limited number of customers. So then the price was increased to $10,000.

Moreover, the car is not made fully autonomous as was said by Musk in 2019

that Teslas with FSD are "able to drive from one's house to work, most likely without interventions.

So it will still be supervised, but it will be able to drive."

In September, Tesla opened the FSD beta software to more drivers, but to get access to the software, the drivers must have a good "safety score."

Moreover, Musk has also promised that FSD will be released wider for several years.

In 2018, Musk said 2018 that the new version of FSD will arrive in the summer.

Then it was said that it will come in 2019, and there will be "over a million cars with full self-driving, software, everything." But the FSD remained only in beta.

The software was criticized in August 2021, US. Sens. Ed Markey (D-MA) and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) accused the company of "deceptive and unfair practices."
