Chelsea sold Belgian international Eden Hazard to Real Madrid this summer but were unable to sign a replacement for him due to their transfer ban as imposed by world football’s ruling body FIFA.
Eden Hazard had just one year left on his Chelsea contract before he left the Blues to join Real Madrid in a deal reported to be around £100m.
Chelsea are ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Jadon Sancho who is an England international, while the interest of Liverpool has waned in the past days especially after the signing of Japanese international Takumi Minamino from Austrian Bundesliga side Red Bull Salzburg.
Jadon Sancho has scored 12 goals and also assisted 10 goals in 24 games in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund this term.
