Premier League giants Arsenal are reportedly plotting a big money move for Real Madrid outcast James Rodriguez ahead of the winter transfer window.
This is according to the report from Spanish media outlet El Desmarque which revealed that the Gunners want to sign the Colombian international playmaker.
James Rodriguez has struggled for form and fitness after his return to Real Madrid this season from a loan spell at German champions Bayern Munich.
The Colombian star spent the last two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich whom he helped to win the league title in each of those two seasons as well as the German Cup title last season.

Form and fitness led to him making just seven league appearances for Real Madrid till date.
James Rodriguez has scored one goal and one assist in those seven league games.
Real Madrid would be willing to let James Rodriguez leave the club in January since the former AS Monaco and FC Porto player is not a regular in the starting XI this season.
Arsenal are not the only major European side interested in a move for James Rodriguez with the likes of Atletico Madrid and Napoli also keen to sign him in the New Year.
Real Madrid want £42m for James Rodriguez according to the aforementioned publication.
