The reports of Liverpool’s interest in Cardiff City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has been dismissed and that brings hope to Aston Villa’s camp.
The issues of goalkeeping have been solved by the Merseyside outfit in last summer transfer window when they secured the signature of Brazilian international Alisson Becker from Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma in a big money deal.
Alisson Becker has since impressed in the Liverpool team and has helped stabilize the defence which has left the Club with the highest clean sheet in entire Europe.
Now that the report of moves for the Cardiff City goalkeeper has been dismissed, Aston Villa will now have their chance of signing Neil Etheridge as they are desperate to land him in the summer transfer window.

It was reported that Aston Villa had indicated interest in the signature of the Cardiff City goalkeeper in the past, with a bid of 80 million Euros rejected.
They have not been handed hope knowing Neil Etheridge will not be available in this summer transfer window.
It is now left for both clubs to hold talks on terms to have a deal sealed before the end of the summer transfer window.
There is, therefore, no expectation that Liverpool will add a goalkeeper in the summer transfer window.
