Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was the hero for the Old Lady as he rescued the Italian champions from an embarrassing derby defeat at the hands of Torino in their league clash at the Juventus Stadium on Friday night.
Ronaldo scored with six minutes left on the clock to secure a 1-1 draw for Juventus in the Turin Derby.
Torino midfielder Sasa Lukic had earlier given the visitors a first-half lead with his first goal of the season.
The goal from Ronaldo stopped Torino from recording their first away win over Juventus in 24 years (since 1995).
A win would have taken Torino level on points with fourth-placed Atalanta in the race for Champions League next season and the two dropped points meant that they stay two points off in sixth place.
The latest goal takes Portuguese national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo to 28 goals in 41 appearances this season including 21 league goals.
His goal came via a header meaning that seven of his last ten goals have come via that route.
Ronaldo also extended his goal tally at club level to 601 ahead of arch-rival Lionel Messi (600 goals) as the highest goalscorer amongst the current players.
101 out of the 601 goals scored by Ronaldo have come via his head.
