Welsh national team manager Ryan Giggs has expressed his excitement over the impending move of Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey to Juventus.
In his latest interview monitored by popular media portal Goal, Giggs believes that the move can elevate Ramsey to the level reached by national team colleague Gareth Bale following his move to European champions Real Madrid in 2013.
Bale became the most expensive player in world football in the summer of 2013 when Real Madrid paid £85m to secure his transfer from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.
Ryan Giggs is hopeful that the Juventus transfer for Ramsey can boost him to the status of the world’s best in his position
Aaron Ramsey has signed a four-year contract with Juventus but he’s not expected to join the Old Lady until this summer.
The 28-year-old will reportedly earn £400,000 per week before tax thus making him the most expensive footballer in Britain.
He has few months left on his contract at Arsenal but the Gunners were reluctant to offer him a new deal.
Ramsey is the longest serving player at Arsenal after he joined the club from Welsh side Cardiff City in 2008.
Arsenal were able to sign him for £5m ahead of rivals Manchester United.
He has won three FA Cup titles at the club.
