Manchester United midfielder DJ Buffonge has joined English Championship club Derby County according to the publication from the Derby Telegraph.
Derby County has taken DJ Buffonge on trial from three-time European champions Manchester United.
The 20-year-old played his first game for Derby County on Monday night as a second half substitute as the Championship club progressed to the knockout stage of the Premier League 2 Cup.
He played 30 minutes as Derby County defeated Aston Villa 2-1 to advance to the next stage of the competition.
The young midfielder started his football career at North London giants Arsenal before joining Fulham.
DJ Buffonge became a Manchester United player in 2015 and he went on to score seven goals in addition to six assists in 21 games for the u-18s.
His performances for the u-18s elevated him to the u-23s at Manchester United where he scored four goals and also provided two assists in 30 appearances.
DJ Buffonge has already trained with the first team at Manchester United under both Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but he’s yet to make his debut for the club.
He would definitely benefit from the coaching of Frank Lampard at Derby County who are pushing for a spot in the Premier League next season.
