Three-time European champions Manchester United are in a six-club fight to sign highly rated Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa according to media reports coming out of Italy.
Federico Chiesa has been one of the standout performers in Europe since the turn of the year and his form has attracted the crème de la crème of European football.
The 21-year-old is one of the most exciting talents on the Italian football scene.
Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that as many as six major European clubs including Manchester United are lining up to sign him from his Italian Serie A club.
It was revealed by the same publication that the Italian duo of Inter Milan and Juventus are front-runners to sign the player.
Premier League sides Manchester United and Manchester City are also in the running alongside German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and Champions League holders Real Madrid.
Federico Chiesa is rated at £60m by his club but that fee could skyrocket if he continues with his sensational form since the turn of the year.
Chiesa has scored seven goals since the start of the year including three goals in the 7-1 thumping of Italian capital club AS Roma in what was a Coppa Italia clash.
