The concept of Now You See Me 3 was first announced right after the release and sequel to its predecessor, with original cast members reprising their roles for what they hope will be another round on top.
Despite mixed reviews from critics, the first two sequels performed exceptionally well and were a huge hit with audiences.
Jon Feltheimer, the CEO of Lionsgate, announced that Now You See Me three has already begun early planning in May 2015. However, the release date, for Now, You See Me 3 has not been announced yet, but stay tuned for updates.
The first two films grossed approximately $700 million at the box office worldwide. The third installment of Now You See Me is currently in development. However, the production has been delayed due to a recent pandemic.
The cast of the movie planned to return for its sequel. Jesse Eisenberg would reprise his role as Danny Atlas, Woody Harrelson would be back in character Merritt McKinney, Dave Franco is playing Jack Wilder, and Mark Ruffalo didn’t miss out on this opportunity either.
Benedict Cumberbatch has been Reportedly joining the cast of Now You See Me 3, but a buzz circulated online that he would play either an anti-hero or cop.
The third prequel in the series will be quite different from its predecessors. This time Lionsgate has hired Eric Warren Singer as one of the writers on board for Now You See Me 3.
In the next installment, Now You See Me three will follow in the footsteps of its predecessor by focusing on yet another big jackpot and an awful billionaire who needs to be put back into place.
