You want to do audio chat just like a walkie-talkie, that too from our watch. The impossible thing will be possible from the South Korean tech giant in its gear. As per the reports, the watch 4 series, including Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic, will have the Samsung app for audio communication. Likewise, typical walkie-talkie, you can just push and convey our message to other gear and smartwatch holders.
If you’ve knowledge about the smartwatch from Apple (2018) a similar feature was included on that gear as well. This time Samsung is launching this voice feature on its watch.
As a reminder, the push-to-talk feature in Watch OS 5 could only be used by two people at a time. But in the case of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 lineup, you can voice chat with over two users by creating a channel between one another.
The Walkie-Talkie app can be downloaded directly on Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 classic from the Play Store.
Moreover, this is a two-way voice communication service. Notably, the app is specially designed for Samsung OS users; therefore, other Android users won’t be able to access this app. You’ll have to sign up with your Samsung account for installing this amazing app.
The two wear holders could only use the app, which means it is not for other smart devices of the South Korean tech company.
Unfortunately, Samsung’s Tizen-based smartphones won’t be able to use this feature and app for two-way voice communication.
As mentioned, this app is an official Samsung service and requires a Samsung account for login, also it has a memory of 23MB. Since it is in its early stage of development, therefore, the version has still got some bugs and errors.
Anyhow, don’t need to tense about that because, in the later or upcoming updates, the company will sort out issues, including major bug fixes and errors. Notably, the version of the app is 1.0.00.26.
