WhatsApp is testing a new feature for Archived chats, the update is released for few beta testers and you might be the next one. However, the rollout process is too slow and it may take some time to be on your phone.

The feature known as New Archive is being tested and is available for some of the beta users. This new Archive will give you access to move chats into the Archives and you won’t receive any further notification.

Furthermore, once you put chats into New Archive, the archive section will be moved up to the top, in case you want to make some change, so it will be easily accessible.

How to know that Is it available on your device? Simply open WhatsApp, then open settings > Chats, you will see the option “keep chats archived” toggle. If it’s not available right now, so you are going to receive this update soon.
