After making wrong summer transfer decision and also call for his sack by fans, Ed Woodward is making amends to sign some few good signing in the January transfer window.
Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward has approved the signing of a new centre back at the club according to French news portal L’Equipe.
It was stated that Ed Woodward has set aside £23m for the signing after the request made by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The player in question is young AS Monaco centre back Benoit Badiashile.
The 19-year-old Frenchman is potentially seen as a centre back partner for Red Devils skipper Harry Maguire.

Maguire signed for Manchester United from fellow Premier League team Leicester City in an £80m deal to make him the most expensive defender ever.
The Red Devils have not been able to find him a solid centre back partner since his transfer from the King Power Stadium in 2019, there there is a need to sign Benoit Badiashile.
Swedish international Victor Lindelof has been his regular partner in central defence but the former Benfica man has been largely unconvincing.
The potential arrival of Benoit Badiashile from Monaco will finally seal the fates of centre backs like Marcos Rojo, and Phil Jones at Old Trafford.
Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones will be available in the January transfer market.
Manchester United do not want to wait around any more, they will be going full out to sign Badiashile in January transfer window.
