Manchester United failed in some bids to sign top talent that could take Old Trafford to the next level, although the last days of the summer transfer window were busy for Man United as they confirmed a number of signings, including Alex Telles and Edison Cavani.
They seem to have started deals ahead of the coming transfer windows, as reports by Christian Falk who claim the Red Devils are on the verge of confirming the signature of former German Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu for free ahead of next transfer window.
The Red Devils can boast of a number of midfielders at Old Trafford and after the signing of Bruno Fernandes in January and Donny Van De Beek in the summer transfer window, they are definitely not stopping at that.
The likes of Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard are still Manchester United players. The former was sent out on loan to Italian Serie A outfit Lazio and the latter still struggling for playing time. They are both likely to leave permanently next summer transfer window.

However, the report claims the Red Devils have been in talks with the former Bayer Leverkusen player since last summer and will go ahead with the pre-contract signing once the January winter transfer window is opened.
Hakan Calhanoglu, a turkish professional player is believed to be an upgrade for Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira but he is not certain to beat Donny Van Beek for a place in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team should he make the transfer in January.
Hakan Calhanoglu – plays as a winger for Milan and a midfielder for the Turkey national team. He began his career in 2010 and subsequently move to top-flight side Hamburger SV two years later, he was born in February 1994 – putting into consideration his style of play, he could be the most successful midfielder ahead of Paul Pogba in the nearest future.
Although, Juventus and Atletico are currently observing the player, Manchester United will no doubt pull through the transfer in January.
Numerous defeats have left manager Ole Gunnar Solskejr in difficult satiation as it could cost him his job at Old Trafford.
We expect Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be given a target before the January transfer window or risk being sacked following the defeat at home.
