Man Utd chief Ed Woodward accused of forming Mauricio Pochettino plan with Solskjaer quote

Man United finally got a win against Everton last weekend after suffering two defeats against Arsenal and Istanbul in the Premier League and the Champions League respectively but that does not mean the team is balanced yet.

The season has not gone the way Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had planned as they started very slow with a number of defeats which keeps the team away from the summit.

Former striker Louis Saha stated that for the Norwegian manager to be relieved of the pressure on him, he must strengthen his team with some new players in different positions.

He said: “Some new signings like (£47million midfielder) Fred, you can see the quality but he’s not going to make the difference.

“The signing of Fernandes, you need four of them. You need four of them to actually compete and this is what is missing. You need to know the mentality of new players.

“I want players there who want to win the Champions League and win big trophies. This is what is required here.”

Louis Saha therefore, noted that Man United have a need for a defender that will partner Harry Maguire, a goal-scoring striker, a midfielder and a winger.

He added that Man United must improve to be title contenders or will continue to struggle.

As a result of the negative results, speculations are that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be sacked and replaced with former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.
