Kylian Mbappe

English Premier League title holders Liverpool are reported to be desperate in their bid to land Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.

It is understood that the World Cup winner wants to have a new start outside Paris and the French Ligue 1. This has been made known to the club with suggestions that he would leave at the end of the season, during the summer transfer window.

Real Madrid are known to be suitors if the France international with claims that they are now on standby after learning of his interest to leave the club.

With the Spanish champions regarded as favourites in Kylian Mbappe’s chase, Liverpool are ready to give them a big fight as they are keen to sign him as well.

The Times hints that to ensure they secure the signature of the World Cup winner, Liverpool are prepared to sell one of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino or Sadio Mane to help raise some cash.

Paris Saint-Germain have so far offered three separate contacts to Kylian Mbappe but he rejected it. If they refuse to let him leave in the coming summer transfer window, they will lose him for free in 2022 as he will be a free agent.

Kylian Mbappe is valued at around £161m by the French Ligue 1 club which means his suitors must come prepared to meet the fee if they must land him.

The 21-year-old is one of the hottest teenagers in the World, having established himself as one or Paris Saint Germain’s best players with 97 goals and 58nassists in 132 appearances for the club.

Meanwhile, there are reports in some quarters of the media that Paris Saint Germain are close to convincing Kylian Mbappe to sign a new deal and that will be a big blow to Liverpool and Real Madrid ahead of the coming summer transfer window.
