Former Cesc Fabregas midfielder Cesc Fabregas has stated that his former team can be regarded as a top team because manager Mikel Arteta has got some players with top quality.
The 33-year-old named Thomas Partey, Dani Ceballos, Granit Xhaka, Willian and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the five players that are no doubt top players to help drive the club to success.
However, a lot cannot be seen from the team, according to the former Barcelona and Chelsea midfielder because the club is in a transition period and it takes time for it to be proven while stressing that manger Mikel Arteta has got the right idea.
Speaking to 90min, Fabregas said: “Listen, it’s a transition period. Mikel has his ideas, but it takes time. The problem for a coach nowadays is that you have no time. You lose three games, everyone is asking for your head. I know it’s very, very difficult because you want to implement your ideas, and it’s a process.

“You’re on the spot every single day. He’s trying to find his team. They have [Dani] Ceballos, they have [Granit] Xhaka, now they’ve added Thomas Partey from Atletico, who’s a very good player as well.
“They have Willian, they have [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang – top, top players, that’s 100% sure. Maybe they still need a little bit more time.
He, therefore, called on the Spanish boss to learn from Tottenham manager, Jose Mourinho to be pragmatic in his approach.
“Like [Jose] Mourinho always used to say, you need to be pragmatic. Maybe at the beginning nowadays, you do need to get results first, I don’t deny that, but you have to have the personality.” He added
Howbeit, Mikel Arteta has the backing of the club to take the team through this face of transition to become major title contenders in the nearest future.
