Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has spoken on his decision to call on Nikolaj Moller, regarded as the ‘new Ibrahimovic’ into the first-team training session on Thursday for the first time as they prepare to face Leeds United next weekend.
The international break is currently on ad some of the Gunners players are away with their various national teams but others who failed to get a call remained to continue work at et London colony until the return of the full squad later next week.
From what was observed, Nikolaj Moller was impressive in training and caught the attention of the former Man City assistant manager, to add to his similarities with Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a Sweden national, his tall frame of 6ft4ins and his technical ability.
The 18-year-old has been making a name for himself with the Gunners U23s so far this season, with three goals in as many games in the Premier League 2.

Mikel Arteta’s decision to call Nikolaj Moller to train with his first-team is because of his performance that has been catching the eye for the youth side.
There is also a need to give him the exposure as he had the opportunity of training with the likes of Rob Holding, Dani Ceballos, Willian, David Luiz, and Calum Chambers – which must have been a great experience for the youngster.
Nikolaj Moller also shares similar technicalities as French striker Olivier Giroud which has not been seen at the Emirates Stadium since he left the club for Chelsea.
It is understood that he has a great reputation amongst fans and will be given full support when the opportunity comes for a first-team debut.
Howbeit, it is very unlikely for the North London outfit boss to showcase the 18-year-old in the Premier League game against Leeds United despite his impressive performance in training.
