EPL outfit Arsenal have had reasons to storm French Ligue 1 outfit Lille in the last two years for their players and they are set to return for another.
The North London outfit secured the signature of Ivory Coast winger Nicolas Pepe and Brazilian International defender Gabriel Magalhaes in the last two years and Yusuf Yazici could be the third as they are showing real interest in him, according to The Mail.
The report claims that the Gunners want to make Yusuf Yazici Mesut Ozil’s successor in the summer window.
Both share similarities in their style of play. While Mesut Ozil was born in Germany but he is of Turkish origin like the Lille star.
Yusuf Yazici has been tipped to be a more successful playmaker than the former Real Madrid playmaker because of his goal scoring ability. He has scored seven goals in just eight games for Lille – including two hat-tricks in the Europa League.

The former Trabzonspor man already joined the French Ligue 1 outfit last summer on a £15.75m [Transfermarkt] move and has another four years left on his contract but the North London club are making efforts to cut his stay in France short for a move to the English Premier League.
However, Man United and Liverpool have also been monitoring the Turkish playmaker and are ready to give Arsenal the fight to win his signature.
Lille manager Christophe Galtier recently hailed Yazici for bringing something different to the team with his left foot, his shot, and his vision.
“When he is between the lines, he has his vision and the quality of his left foot.
“He’s obsessed with the goal. It’s important for him and the team, I’m very happy for him.” He said
Meanwhile, Mesut Ozil is out of favour at Arsenal and could force a move away from the club in January or remain at the Emirates Stadium until the summer when his contract expires.
