MLS club LA Galaxy are reported to be keen on the signature of Arsenal outcast Mesut Ozil and are planning to bring him to the club next season.

Mesut Ozil has not been in action for the North London outfit since last season. It is confirmed that he would not be playing this season after he was left out of the club’s squad for the Premier League and the Europa League this season.

The doors were opened for the former Real Madrid star to leave the Emirates Stadium in the last summer transfer window with several offers reportedly available to him but he insisted on staying despite being told he is not part of Mikel Arteta’s team.

With his deal set to expire in the summer, Los Angeles Galaxy wants to bring the Arsenal midfielder across the Atlantic for the coming season.

According to Fichajes, via SportsMole Los Angeles Galaxy are desperate to land Mesut Ozil, and add his name to the superstars that have already played at the club.

The World Cup winner could join the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Steven Gerrard, Ashley Cole and David Beckham as top stars that have played for the Galaxy during their time in the Major League Soccer.

Los Angeles Galaxy’s 2020 MLS campaign is one yo forget as they finished 10th out of 12 teams in the Western Conference, thereby missing out on the playoffs.

What is unknown is whether the World Cup winner will remain at the club until the end of the season when his contract expires or leave in the January winter transfer window as he has not been playing competitive football.

Mesut Ozil played 254 games, in which he netted 44 goals and assisted a further 77 for his teammates. This might be the end of his stat with Arsenal before he leaves.
