EPL giant, Chelsea are having a nice time so far in the season as they have recorded some successive wins across all competitions after starting slow.
The West London outfit won their weekend game to close the gap on league leaders Liverpool after coming from behind to win Sheffield United 4 – 1 but Frank Lampard is not satisfied as he wants to close the level between his team and Liverpool.
The Blues team are currently third at the moment after eight games. They scored great goals and have the best goal difference in the league but that is not an achievement for the manager who is only looking at operating at the level of the league leaders.

Speaking with football-london, after the Saturday game, Frank Lampard said “People were looking at where we were at and people were very quick to look at goals conceded or not getting the wins. I think people expected that pretty quickly if I’m honest and I didn’t. We had some injuries and we had the idea of people coming in and had to work to get better very quickly.
“We’re in a good place but there’s a level that been set by Liverpool and City in the last few years means you have to be in that good place every game and every week and that’s the gap that we have to close. I certainly won’t jump ahead of myself albeit I’m very impressed with a lot of the signs today”
However, the West London’s clean sheet streak was broken by Sheffield United in the first 10 minutes following the miscommunication between N’Golo Kante and Hakim Ziyech helping David McGoldrick to finish up in style.
The West London outfit have been tipped to compete for the league title and the Champions League and they are already on the road to achieving just that.
