Several accolades have been pouring since Arsenal secured the signature of Ghanaian international Thomas Partey from Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid on the transfer deadline day.
The North London outfit activated the £45 million release clause of the Ghanaian international to bring him to the Emirates Stadium after weeks of negotiations.
However, Thomas Partey has established himself in Mikel Arteta’s team and has helped the team to be more solid from the midfield while the defence now has good coverage to avoid goals.
Pundits have argued that he is the signing of the season while others claim he is Arsenal’s signing of the transfer window but that is not accepted by a former Man United player, Gary Neville who feels Brazilian international Gabriel Magalhaes is Arsenal’s best signing on the pitch.

He noted that the defensive reinforcement by the North London outfit has been good, giving the credit to the former Lille defender for being brilliant.
Neville told Sky Sports that “Arsenal’s defensive performance has been brilliant, front to back, but the back three have been good. Gabriel has been fantastic; so far I’d say he’s been the best player on the pitch for me.
“Rob Holding’s been good in the right centre-back position as well. He was brilliant, Mikel Arteta, in the way in which he set his team up.” He said
Gabriel Magalhaes came to the English Premier League with no experience of tat this level of intensity football and was talked down by pundits but he has proved everyone wrong to have made a statement with his performances.
After scoring a goal on his debut in the season’s opener against Fulham, Gabriel Magalhaes went ahead to win Arsenal’s Player of the Month award for September. He has succeeded in nailing his place in Mikel Arteta’s heart and team.
