Many fans and pundits still have the hope that Arsenal outcast Mesut Ozil will still play for the club before leaving when his contract expires in the coming summer.

The German international has not played a single game for the North London outfit and was unable to make the list for the year’s Europa League squad.

There have been suggestions that he has a rift with manager Mikel Arteta but the Spanish boss has continued to insist that his reasons for leaving Mesut Ozil out of games are technical.

Observers have become more confused by the fact that the former Real Madrid midfielder has been training with the team and his social media activities appear nothing is wrong.

The latest statement credited to Arsenal legend Sol Campbell hints that judgment has been passed on the World Cup winner but by an unknown.

According to him, Mesut Ozil will never play for Arsenal again, hinting that his last game has been played already.

Sol Campbell noted that a lot of things have gone wrong, citing instances where the midfielder went against the club and that could attract such treatments.

Meanwhile, the Arsenal legend did not mention technical reasons for the snub.
