Arsenal technical director Edu has reportedly lined up a replacement for Lyon skipper Houssem Aouar ahead of the January 2021 transfer window which is almost three months away.
Edu and Arsenal tried to sign a creative player to provide the much needed attacking spark for the team and Lyon star Houssem Aouar was the top target.
The Gunners were unable to sign Aouar and it seems like they have turned their attention to another player in a bid to find a creative midfielder.

Red Bull Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai is being lined up for a transfer to Arsenal according to respected transfer news guru Fabrizio Romano.
The North Londoners will have to spend £25m on the 19-year-old playmaker, which is a little money in comparison to the £55m demanded by Lyon for their player.
Dominik Szoboszlai is also being pursued by other European clubs like German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig, Italian Serie A outfit Napoli and French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
The Hungarian international is expected to leave his Austrian Bundesliga club next year but his next destination is unclear at this point.
Arsenal could have signed Houssem Aouar before the end of the transfer window if not for the ridiculous agent fees of £10m demanded by his brother.
