It was not a swap deal but Arsenal and Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid were able to trade players on the last day of the summer transfer window.
Uruguay international midfielder Lucas Torreira left the North London outfit on a loan deal to the Spanish La Liga outfit while the Gunners were able to activate the £45 million release clause of the Ghanaian international to bring him from the Madrid team.
Lucas Torreira, who was in Arsenal for two years after arriving from Italian Serie A outfit Sampdoria in the summer of 2018 obviously has an experience of what life looks like at the Emirates Stadium and decided to share with Thomas Partey.

According to Lucas Torreira, Thomas Partey will be joining a club that treats people well, stressing that it is the most important thing for him to settle well when he meets his teammates.
Meanwhile, Lucas Torreira was out of favour at Arsenal for selection before he left as he was not given any minute this season but that does not stop him from being loved by manager Diego Simeone, who made him a top target.
While some players are currently on international assignment, Thomas Partey is expected to meet his teammates as soon as they return and he could be a part of the next Premier League game.
