In-form Premier League side Everton are keen to bring Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma back to the club before the end of this transfer window.

This is according to French news outlet Le 10 Sport which stated that the Toffees want to reinforce their defensive options with the signing of Kurt Zouma who spent a successful loan spell at the club during the 2018/19 campaign.

French international Zouma played 32 league games at Everton under manager Marco Silva during the 2018/19 season.

Kurt Zouma is the second Chelsea centre back to be linked with Carlo Ancelotti and Everton.

Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori was previously a target for Everton but it looks like the Nigerian-born England international will be staying at Stamford Bridge for this season.

The Blues want to sell a centre back this summer after the free transfer acquisition of Brazilian player Thiago Silva.

He left PSG to join the Blues after the expiration of his contract with the French champions.

His arrival has left central defenders like Kurt Zouma, Antonio Rudiger and Fikayo Tomori fighting to stay at Chelsea.

Centre backs Thiago Silva and Andreas Christensen started the Premier League clash at West Brom at the weekend as the Blues were forced to a 3-3 draw by the Premier League newcomers.
