Why United might no longer sign This Porto defender

There are indications that Man United might no longer sign FC Porto left-back Alex Telles as they are reportedly reluctant to complete the deal despite claims that they have agreed on terms with the player.

Alex Telles was an alternative to Sergio Reguilon who is the first option for the Red Devils but the Real Madrid defender has agreed to join North London outfit Tottenham which makes the FC Porto defender the next point of call.

While it has been reported in the past few days that an agreement on personal terms have been reached with the player, United fans are still left waiting for an official announcement.

Alex Crook in his analysis with talkSport said he has been informed by his source in Portugal that the Red Devils might no longer be interested in the deal as they are reluctant to pay the fee FC Porto are asking for.

He also revealed that FC Porto values Alex Telles at £40 million but United chief, ED Woodward values him within the region of £25 million which makes a deal far from being agreed.

There is no doubt that the Red Devils will have a plan but that is unknown to the fans and they might be getting frustrated, especially if the results continue to go wrong.

Houssem Aouar

Arsenal manager Mikel Aretta has been told that he can feel more impact from Thomas Partey’s presence on the pitch if he is able to secure the signature of Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar.

The North London outfit were all out for the signature of Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar but failed to land the France international, instead, they snapped up the signature of the Ghanaian international on the summer transfer deadline day by activating £45 million his release clause.

The French Ligue 1 outfit were uninterested in the bargain for Houssem Aouar, leaving no chance for the North London to make an attempt before the transfer window was shut in October.

However, Arsenal have been told by the club legend Ian Wright that the presence of Houssem Aouar will do a lot for the team as more would be enjoyed from the presence of Thomas Partey in the team.

The North London outfit might have suffered a defeat against Leicester City but Ian Wright is impressed by the performance of the Atletico Madrid midfielder

Ian Wright noted that Thomas Partey is exactly the type of player Arsenal have been looking for and he will help to get Granit Xhaka and Dani Becallos to operate better especially with his interceptions and ability to calm situations in the middle.

What we cannot say at the moment is if the North London outfit will be moving in for Houssem Aouar again and whether his asking price will be higher or not.

It has already been revealed that the Gunners are not done with the rebuilding of the team by bringing in new players and that is expected to continue in the coming transfer windows.

Meanwhile, reports claim that the North London outfit are not alone in the chase of the France international again and will be facing competition from other teams when they return for his signature.

The big mistake made by Jurgen Klopp but is unknown to him

Manager Jurgen Klopp has been full of praise of his new signing Diogo Jota as he is happy to have made the decision to bring him to the Liverpool team but he has been told that he made a big transfer blunder by securing the service of the Portugal international.

The Merseyside outfit signed Diogo Jota from Wolverhampton Wanders for an initial fee of £41 million and he has already hit the ground running, especially scoring the winner for Liverpool in their Premier League clash against Sheffield United at the weekend.

Tony Cascarino is of the opinion that the former Borussia Dortmund boss made a huge mistake to have gone ahead with the signing of Diogo Jota ahead of Wilfried Zaha who is also available in the summer market.

He stated that would have been a better fit for the Reds team because his pattern of play fits their style, recalling how the Crystal Palace forward gave Trent Alexander-Arnold a run for his money in one of their meetings.

Tony Cascarino will not put all blame on Liverpool boss as he noted that Wilfried Zaha might have been priced out of the market by Crystal palace and that might be the reason for the decision to move for other options.

The signing of the 23-year-old is a surprise to many and Tony Cascarino is one of the but manager Jurgen Klopp has been credited for making some unusual signings and making the best use of them to get the results he has recorded since he joined the club.

However, Tony Cascarino claims he has never questioned the quality of Wilfried Zaha as a tremendous player and he is surprised he has not been given the opportunity to play again in any of the big teams.

Meanwhile, it will not be a surprise to see Diogo Jota in Jurgen Klopp’s starting eleven against Midtjylland later in the week.

Frank Lampard

Chelsea legend Alan Hudson is the latest to give manager Frank Lampard a strike over his tactics at the club and he is unsure if the Blues legend and lead the West London outfit to a Premier League title.

The West London outfit have continued to be inconsistent with the delivery of good results under the former Blues midfielder and more to that is the fact that they have conceded nine goals which is the worst defensive record in the history of the club.

Alan Hudson noted that Fran Lampard cannot be compared with the likes of Jurgen Klopp, adding that his tactics against Man United was wrong, the reason why he failed to win the game last Saturday.

The West London outfit recorded goalless draws in their Champions League game against Sevilla before the Man United draw to make it two successive clean sheets but that has not stopped Alan Hudson from criticizing the team.

Alan Hudson stressed that Frank Lampard has not learned lessons as he continues to make excuses for experienced players who are guilty of defensive blunders, noting that the same happened to Chelsea last season but for the fact that Liverpool were far ahead of most teams, it was unnoticed.

He added that the Chelsea boss will be more exposed because the likes of Everton and Wolves are better teams now and Arsenal are beginning to pick up again to close the gap that existed before now.

Reacting to the two goalless draw results from the Champions League and the Premier League games, Alan Hudson stated that Frank Lampard was desperate to correct his defensive blunders and had to stall out by not having adequate shots on target just to stop the opponents from scoring goals.

However, it is feared that Frank Lampard would be sacked if the results don’t improve in subsequent games.
