West London giants Chelsea have reportedly made a new bid for their goalkeeper target as they hope to wrap up a deal before the end of this week.
The new bid was confirmed by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano as he reported that Chelsea hope that the new offer will be enough to sign their goalkeeper target.
Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is the top transfer target for the Blues in the goalkeeping department.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard wants to sign a new goalkeeper this summer as he’s not convinced with Spanish shot stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga who had an average season in the last campaign.

Lampard dropped Kepa Arrizabalaga for a lot of big games towards the end of last season as he opted for ageing goalkeeper Willy Caballero.
Kepa Arrizabalaga is the most expensive goalkeeper in the world after the Blues paid £71m for him but he has not justified that investment.
Chelsea have identified the aforementioned Edouard Mendy as the man to finally replace Kepa Arrizabalaga as the number one goalkeeper. They had a first offer rejected for him by Rennes.
Other reported goalkeeper target for Chelsea are Atletico Madrid shot stopper Jan Oblak, Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana and Burnley goal minder Nick Pope.
