West London giants Chelsea are on the verge of missing out on long-term target Callum Wilson after he agreed on a deal with another Premier League team.
The 28-year-old striker is available for a transfer after he suffered relegation from the English top flight with Bournemouth at the end of last season.
Chelsea had been linked with a move for Callum Wilson in the past transfer windows until the summer when they decided to swoop on German international striker Timo Werner.
The petite attacker joined the Blues from German Bundesliga team RB Leipzig in a deal reported to be around £53m.

For Callum Wilson, he’s on his way to Newcastle United after the club agreed a £45m fee to sign him.

The total fee for his transfer and wages is £45m.
The Magpies had earlier made an offer of cash plus ex-Bournemouth player Matt Richie for Callum Wilson before they decided to offer cash only. The Matt Richie transfer from Newcastle United to Bournemouth can still go ahead separately.
Another Premier League side, Aston Villa also agreed a deal for Callum Wilson but the player opted for Newcastle United.
