With the future of Man United’s goalkeeper De Gea being debated, former player Rio Ferdinand named only one player that can replace the Spanish shot-stopper at the Old Trafford.

Rio Ferdinand named Jan Oblak, the first choice and captain of Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid as the only man fit to replace David De Gea between the sticks.

He, therefore, warned that the Red Devils will not get the Atletico Madrid goalkeeper for any cheap fee and would prefer his former club to keep David De Gea at the club and invest the money in other positions.

The Man United legend is of the opinion that David De Gea is still a good goalkeeper and only having his difficult time at the club.

David De Gea has been accused of costly mistakes that eliminated the team from the FA Cup, amongst others, the reason why even the fans want him out because their hope of a double has been dashed.

However, the ball is in manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s court and it’s his decision to make on whether to let go of the Spaniard or give him another chance but he is reported to have earlier hailed David De Gea and insisting that he is a good goalkeeper and one of the best in the world.
