The weakness of Man United goalkeeper David De Gea has been exposed by the club’s former goalkeeper, Mark Bosnich.

This might be a shock to Red Devils fans and leave them disappointed as previous analysis has been in his favour.

This is coming after the Spanish shot-stopper was unable to stop Steven Bergwijn’s goal that led to their 1-1 draw against Tottenham on Friday night.

Roy Keane was first to criticize the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper before Bosnich noted his weakness.

According to him “he has had a season that has been full of mistakes that he hasn’t made on a consistent basis in the past, there is no doubt about that.

“In terms of the goal against Tottenham, a lot of people are obviously talking about the delivery that Roy Keane made, but the bottom line is whether you agree with the way he delivered it or not, that is Roy’s style.

“It was a mistake and I think that the most important thing, and I’m sure his goalkeeping coach would notice from a technical point of view, is that there is something wrong when he sets for shots.

“So that’s something they definitely need to work on and obviously they’ve got Henderson who’s playing so well at Sheffield United as well.

“It has been more than a blip this season,” he told Sky Sports

Maybe this flaw has been identified by opponents to capitalize on or not but it’s definitely an issue for a goalkeeper who is highly rated in the English Premier League, in addition to the huge weekly wages he earns.

David De Gea stands tall in the ranking of goalkeepers in the world.
