Manchester United Closing In On First January Signing

Fallen Premier League giants Manchester United are closing in on their first signing of the upcoming January transfer window with recent reports claiming that highly-rated Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland is on the verge of signing for the Red Devils.
The specific report from Daily Post claimed that Manchester United will offer the Norwegian international a lucrative contract big enough to lure him from Austrian Bundesliga champions Red Bull Salzburg to Manchester United.
Widespread reports stated that Manchester United will have to spend as much as £85m to sign Erling Haaland from the Austrians whom he joined from Norwegian top flight club Molde in January 2019.

Erling Haaland is one of the most coveted players in European football after he scored 28 goals in 22 appearances to date.
He has been in sensational form since the start of this season.
Manchester United are not the only European club interested in the 19-year-old attacker with other major sides like Juventus, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund also keen to sign the in-form striker who scored eight goals in four starts for Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League.
The Norwegian striker is the son of former Manchester City and Leeds United player Alfe-Ing Haaland.
