EPL: Confirmed Manchester United Starting Lineup vs Burnley

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his players responded perfectly to adversary following their emphatic win over Newcastle United in a Premier League match played on Boxing Day.

Solskjaer and his players produced their worst performance of the season after they were beaten 2-0 by basement club Watford last weekend but they were able to bounce back against Newcastle United on Thursday night with a 4-1 victory.

Manchester United had to come from behind after Matty Longstaff had given the Magpies a shock lead at Old Trafford to make it two goals in two games for him against the Red Devils.

Matty Longstaff is the younger brother of Sean Longstaff and he was responsible for the only goal of the game when the two teams met earlier this season as Newcastle United beat Manchester United 1-0 at home in October shortly before the international break.

Anthony Martial scored twice either side of the halftime interval in addition to the first half strikes from fellow forwards Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood to give Manchester United a comprehensive win.

Manchester United would be hoping to build on that win for the trip to Burnley on Saturday but they will be without Scott McTominay who injured his ankle against the Magpies.

The Scotland international was replaced by Paul Pogba at halftime and the returning Frenchman is expected to replace in the starting XI for the Burnley game at Turf Moor this weekend.

Manchester United XI (4-3-3): David De Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw; Fred, Andreas Pereira, Paul Pogba; Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood.
