The 22-year-old has a release clause of around £92m in his Inter Milan contract.
Lautaro Martinez has forged a potent striker partnership with Romelu Lukaku at Inter Milan though it was unable to save Inter Milan from dropping from the Champions League to the Europa League at the end of the group stage campaign.
Inter Milan finished third in Group F behind runners-up Borussia Dortmund FC of Germany and leaders Barcelona in the group thereby dropping to an inferior cup competition, Europa League.
Lautaro Martinez scored five goals in six group games in the Champions League but it was not enough for qualification to the round of 16.
He has nine goals in 13 starts for Argentina.
