Liverpool have set sights on a possible swoop for Red Bull Salzburg attacker Takumi Minamino ahead of the winter transfer market in January.
This is according to the Daily Mail which revealed that the Reds are eyeing a January move for the Japanese international attacker who has scored 41 goals in 129 appearances for Austrian Bundesliga champions Red Bull Salzburg since he joined them in 2015.
It was revealed that Takumi Minamino has a release clause of £7.25m in his Red Bull Salzburg contract.
The 24-year-old Japanese international has scored 11 goals in 22 appearances for his country.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp previously talked about signing an attacker when the January transfer market reopens in the coming weeks.

Klopp and Liverpool are fighting on five fronts at the moment and the German tactician will need all his players for the upcoming games.
Liverpool have the FIFA Club World Cup tournament in Qatar to attend later this month with the target of winning the tournament ahead of other participants like Flamengo, Al Sadd and many more.
The Reds have an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League table in addition to the fact that they are in the Champions League round of 16.
They are also in the running for both the FA Cup title and the Carabao Cup title this season.
