Chelsea can sign players now after the saw the end of their transfer ban thanks to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) who reduced their ban from two transfer windows to just one transfer window.

With the Blues free to sign new players, the Irish Examiner said that they have five transfer options to consider ahead of the next transfer window next month.

The five players under consideration at Chelsea include Wilfried Zaha of Ivory Cast and Crystal Palace, Jadon Sancho of England and Borussia Dortmund, Ben Chilwell of England and Chelsea, Erling Haaland of Norway and Red Bull Salzburg as well as Nathan Ake of the Netherlands and Bournemouth.

Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho has set the German Bundesliga alight with goals and assists and its not surprising that other English clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United are also interested in his signature.

Jadon Sancho

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has approved the multi-million pounds pursuit of Borussia Dortmund player Jadon Sancho according to The Metro.

Recent reports had claimed that Chelsea are in talks to sign Jadon Sancho who is an England international who made his debut for the Three Lions against Croatia towards the end of 2018 in what was a UEFA Nations League game.

Apart from Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are also interested in Jadon Sancho who could cost up to £120m.

Chelsea have a good business relationship with Borussia Dortmund and that could work in their favour as they try to prise Jadon Sancho from the German Bundesliga club.

Jadon Sancho has scored nine goals and nine assists in 15 games in the league to further show his importance to Borussia Dortmund who sold Christian Pulisic to Chelsea in a £57m deal last year.

Chelsea had agreed a deal with the Germans for Christian Pulisic in January 2019 but the American international didn’t join them until last summer.

The same transfer strategy could be applied by Chelsea as they try to sign 19-year-old Sancho who is seen as the man to replace Eden Hazard at the club.

Brighton and Hove Albion manager Graham Potter has given a transfer update on his skipper Lewis Dunk who has been linked with Chelsea this month.

The center-back position is one of the let areas targeted by Chelsea for reinforcement and Brighton captain Lewis Dunk is a major transfer target for them.

Chelsea had an appeal rejected by FIFA before they took the case to CAS who delivered a ruling on the matter at the start of last month.

Chelsea fans are restless with the lack of transfer activity despite the lifting of the aforementioned transfer embargo.

West London giants Chelsea have identified the player to replace winger Willian if the Brazilian international eventually leaves the club this summer.

Chelsea winger Willian has been in very good form for his club this season and he has been one of the standout performers for the Blues this season as they remain on course to qualify for Champions League football next season ahead of others like Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

Willian has six months left on his Chelsea contract though the club has offered the 31-year-old a new deal but he’s holding out for two years.

The Brazilian international wants a two-year contract rather than the one-year offer on the table.

Chelsea will pursue the move for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho in the summer as they see him as the long-term replacement for Willian on the right wing.

The Blues are expected to face stiff competition for Jadon Sancho who has shone for Borussia Dortmund since he joined the Germans from Manchester City FC of England three seasons ago.

Jadon Sancho has been one of the best players in the German Bundesliga over the last two seasons and it would take at least £100m to secure his transfer.

Bryan Fiabema

Chelsea fans are still waiting for their first major signing of this January winter window though it must be pointed out that the Blues have already signed Norwegian teenager Bryan Fiabema who will go straight into the youth teams at the club’s Cobham training ground in London.

Bryan Fiabema has joined Chelsea from Tromso but that’s not the kind of signing to get the Blues faithful off their seat.

The Chelsea fans might not need to wait for long for a wow signing with the club seriously interested in Real Madrid playmaker Isco who has not been the first choice pick at the Spanish this season.

Isco has been restricted to just six La Liga starts this season and that is partly due to the form of Federico Valverde.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has opted for the midfield trio of Federico Valverde, Toni Kroos and Casemiro for the majority of the league games as the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu outfit fight for the La Liga title with holders Barcelona.

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona are deadlocked at the top of the league table with 40 points.

Spanish media portal El Desmarque revealed that Chelsea are eyeing a £47m transfer for Spanish international playmaker Isco.
