Fallen Premier League giants Manchester United are said to be keen on a swap deal for unsettled Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen.
This is according to the publication from The Athletic which revealed that Manchester United are prepared to offer Nemanja Matic as part of the deal to sign Eriksen.
Matic has been linked with a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur where he would link up with manager Jose Mourinho.
The Serbian international worked with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea and at Manchester United and there’s a possibility of him linking up with the new Spurs manager for the third time.

Jose Mourinho was responsible for the transfer of Matic from Chelsea to Manchester United in a £40m deal in 2017.
He has since lost his place in the Manchester United XI to young midfielder Scott McTominay under the managerial reign of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who replaced Jose Mourinho in the Old Trafford dugout last year.
Two Italian clubs namely Juventus and Inter Milan also have an interest in Nemanja Matic who has a little over six months on his contract at Manchester United.
It would be a win-win situation for all the parties involved if Manchester United can offer Matic in a swap deal to sign Eriksen who has already told Mourinho that his future lies elsewhere.
