Former Liverpool and Fulham midfielder Danny Murphy has come to the defense of West Ham United star Declan Rice after he was criticized by Manchester United legend Roy Keane.
Danny Murphy slammed former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane for being unfair in his criticism of Declan Rice who’s a top transfer target for the Red Devils.
Roy Keane had criticized Declan Rice while he was doing his punditry job on ITV shortly before the Euro 2020 qualifier between Kosovo and visitors England.
According to him, Declan Rice has not improved as expected and that he has been inconsistent for West Ham United.
Declan Rice went on to play the full 90 minutes for England as they ended their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Kosovo.

Declan Rice would be hoping to get on the plane with the Three Lions of England for the tournament proper next summer.
Danny Murphy defended him while he was on TalkSport as he said that Declan Rice has achieved a lot at a young age and that the Hammers’ midfielder is still growing as a player.
According to him, Roy Keane is still aggrieved with Declan Rice for dumping the Republic of Ireland for England and that he was harsh in his criticism of the player.
Manchester United are interested in signing Declan Rice who has a price tag of £80m.
